Banyuwangi – New age voters for Election 2024 in Banyuwangi is now being intensively targeted to have an electronic KTP (e-KTP).
Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) Banyuwangi Regency is aggressively coming to schools to achieve this target.
High school level students are one of the new electorate groups. Proven, hundreds of students in each high school in Banyuwangi are aged citizens 17 year.
Head of Disdukcapil Banyuwangi Regency Djuang Pribadi said, the arrival of the team to schools to make it easier for students to get e-KTP.
By having the residence card, they will be able to channel their voting rights in simultaneous elections 2024.
“Because one of the requirements to become a voter is to have an identity card,” Djung said, Monday (6/2/2023).
In every visit to SMA, the Disdukcapil team records data on aged students 17 years and close to that age. Data on student questions was obtained by coordination through schools.
Older students 17 years can immediately have an e-KTP. Sementara mereka usianya belum genap 17 the year of submission of e-KTP will be postponed.
“Postponed until the student is even old 17 year, we just gave him his identity card,” he continued.
Djuang mengatakan, ada ratusan siswa di tiap sekolah yang direkam datanya setiap kunjungan Disdukcapil.
“Rat-rate 200 until 250 students who do recording in one school,” Djung said.
In the last week, Disdukcapil Banyuwangi has visited several high schools. Call it among them SMA 1 Turns, Public High School 1 Glagah, and SMK 17 August Tegaldlimo.

Programs that have previously been running are also maximized. For example, the Pelangi Go To School and Pelangi Go To Mall programs.
Not only in the center of the region, SMAs in remote villages were also targeted. The method, through the garden community service camping program and the ngantor regent program in the village.
