SEBLANG.COM – Starting from the relics of a pair of daggers belonging to his grandparents, men in Banyuwangi now have a collection of hundreds of types of kerises originating from various regions in Indonesia.

This he did none other than to protect culture or preserve the culture of the ancestors.

"To learn about my culture, after all there is a legacy of grandparents,said Fakhru Dian Amsyak Sani, keris collector, Saturday 19/02/2022.

From the relics of the keris, he and his friends started looking for kerises by pulling the heirlooms, which started in 1990 2010 ago, and what he drew was like a stone, spear, as well as other heirlooms.

Fakhru, the man lives in the Sobo Village, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java. In the 4X4 meter room he keeps 300 collection of keris and other antique objects.

“Initially it was given by grandfather, I continue to be a hobby. So sometimes my friend pulls a dagger in several places, sometimes you can't even get a keris , sometimes stones or spears,he explained.

According to his explanation, his kerises came from various regions, such as Madura, Bali, Bandung, Lombok, and Aceh.

However, most of the keris are from Banyuwangi Regency. From hundreds of daggers, he said there were a number of kerises that had the highest privileges, namely the nogo sossro which, according to him, was held by the king and royal princesses.

Although many of his kerises carry a mystical aura, he said it all depends on each person's beliefs. And he admits that he also admits selling his collection to those who have an interest.

"If there is a mystical problem, all objects exist depending on how we react to it,” he added.
