BANYUWANGI – Sudjiwo Tejo hadir di Banyuwangi kemarin. The eccentric cultural man who was born in Jember became a special guest on the Untag campus 1945 Banyuwangi. Author of the book “Republic of Jancukers, The Njancuki Ideal Country” was invited as a resource in cultural dialogue and musicalization.

Banyuwangi was so embedded in his life before it was famous as it is today. Sudjiwo Tedjo remembers when he was young he used to come to Banyuwangi to sing. “Banyuwangi music and language are different. I'm reminded of the Banyuwangi song that I used to sing when I was singing," he said. Tedjo immediately took his guitar and sang an old Banyuwangi song entitled "Gelang Alit".

Separately, Chancellor Untag 1945 Banyuwangi, Andang Subaharianto, said that his party deliberately brought Sudjiwo Tedjo to make students more culturally literate. According to him, Sudjiwo Tedjo is a great person with a broad mind, remember other than writers, Tedjo used to be a senior journalist too.
