GLENMORE – Pembangunan Industri Gula Glenmore (IGG/PGG) progress gradually. Next month, specifically 20 December, construction of the largest sugar factory on the island of Java will begin. The implementer of this mega project is the winner of the tender, namely the PT consortium. Industrial Engineering (Rekind) and PT. Weltes Energi Nusantara, Jakarta. Until now PT. Rekind has carried out initial activities for implementing the project, yaitu survei kondisi tanah yang akan dibangun PGG di Desa Karangharjo, Glenmore Kecamatan District.

Selain melakukan survei kondisi lahan yang akan dibangun IGG, Rekind juga telah selesai melakukan desain pabrik. “Dua tahap itu yang sudah dilakukan Rekind,’’ kata Delthia Dewi, corporate communication dan sosial responsibility, ditemui di lokasi IGG Selasa malam kemarin. Sesuai skedul yang sudah dibuat Rekind, on 20 Desember nanti pembangunan konstruksi IGG akan dilakukan. Kegiatan yang akan membutuhkan ratusan tenaga kerja itu berlangsung sampai pertengahan 2015.

“Sekitar akhir 2015 direncanakan pembangunan pabrik selesai," he said. President Director of PT. Rekind, M. Ali Suharsono, explain, IGG memiliki kapasitas 6.000 tons of cane per day (TDC) yang mudah dikembangkan menjadi 800 TDC. Pabrik cogen dengan kapasitas boiler 2 x 100 ton per jam, dan pembangkit listrik tenaga biomassa dengan kapasitas 2×10 MW, as well as derivative products in the form of animal feed with total production 300 tons per day, as well as a fertilizer factory with total production 180 tons per day.
