BANYUWANGI - The heritage of the country's cultural values is indeed infinite in value. This is at the same time a challenge for every generation to imitate, guard, and pass on the noble values that are in it.
That is what is now held by the Acting Puri Gumuk Merang, which is a descendant of King Blambangan, Prabu Tawang Alun. In order to maintain the sustainability of the values and cultural treasures that are in it, February 2012 then, Regent of Puri Gumuk, Mas Dalem Haji Slamet Utomo joined the meeting, with several sultanates and kings of the archipelago.

They met and gathered for the purpose of reviewing the importance of the royal cultural heritage in today's era of globalization and freedom.
In the consolidation, the important decision that resulted was the charter of the King of the Archipelago. The results of the meeting held in Bali were immediately submitted to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the DPR-MPR RI. The charter, one of them contains contents about strengthening the role of socio-cultural control in accordance with Pancasila.
Just knowing, the castle was the residence of the descendants of the king who had destroyed his kingdom. Gumuk Castle is a castle that is now occupied by one of the descendants of King Blambangan Prabu Tawang Alun and also King Bayu Rempeg Jogopati. Now the castle is also a place for cultural preservation, history, and the heritage of the Blambangan Kingdom.
