Besar kenaikan UMK tahun depan tidak berbeda jauh dari usulan atau rekomendasi bupati yang didasarkan hasil rapat pleno Dewan Pengupahan, businessman, serikat pekerja, dan Lembaga Kerja Sama (LKS) Tripartite.
Kepala Seksi Pengembangan Hubungan Industrial Dinas Tenaga Kerja, Transmigration, and Industry (Disnakertransperin) Muhammad Rusdi mengatakan, UMK tersebut berlaku sejak 1 next January.

Rusdi menuturkan, increase in Banyuwangi MSEs this year 2024 lower than the previous year. On 2023, UMK di Bumi Blambangan naik Rp 200 thousand or 8,59 percent of the year 2022 worth Rp 2.328.899.
“We proposed a UMK through a plenary meeting worth Rp 2.627.424. So, there is an increase of Rp 11 thousand of those applications," he said.
Rusdi admitted, formulation for determining the UMK for the year 2024 This is in accordance with Government Regulations (PP) Number 51 Year 2023 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 36 year 2021 about Wages.
That is, The amount of wages is calculated by considering a number of variables, such as the current minimum wage, economic growth, inflation, and certain indexes.

"The proposal to determine the UMK has certainly gone through several stages involving the wage council. Besides that, there is also an entrepreneur element and an employee element in it,he said.
Rusdi added, In the near future, his party will immediately go to the field to socialize the increase in UMK to a number of companies in Banyuwangi.
According to him, according to the rules that have been in place, Companies are required to implement the UMK that has been determined for the welfare of workers.
“Especially companies that are capable. Therefore, it is mandatory to pay employees according to the established minimum wage,he explained.

Meanwhile, Wakil Ketua Dewan Pengupahan Banyuwangi Zaenuddin Imam mengatakan, increase in Banyuwangi MSEs this year 2024 tidak berbeda jauh dengan usulan.

He judges, besar UMK tersebut merupakan win-win solution bagi kalangan pengusaha dan pekerja.
“Tidak terlalu memberatkan pengusaha, juga cukup menguntungkan pihak pekerja,” ujar Dekan Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas 17 August 1945 (Untag) Banyuwangi tersebut tadi malam (3/12).
He revealed, pada rapat pleno pengusulan UMK, sempat terjadi negosiasi.
Dewan Pengupahan membantu menjembatani komunikasi antara pihak perusahaan ingin menerapkan indeks tertentu (alpha) as big as 0,1, sedangkan serikat pekerja minta 0,3.
“Akhirnya usulannya mengambil jalan tengah, yakni 0,2,” ungkapnya. (tar/sgt)
