ID TEXT – Kerjasama pengobatan mata gratis antara Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Banyuwangi dan organisasi kemanusiaan John Fawcett Foundation (JFF), has been going on for 10 year. For a decade, social service has served approx 27. 051 eye treatment.
Kerjasama antara PMI Banyuwangi, JFF, and also supported by the Banyuwangi Regency Government, this has been successful 2938 cataract surgery, giving 135 fake eyeball, 12.317 glasses, 6908 medicine and 4753 screening on students since 2014.
Manager JFF Indonesia, Komang Yoman Wardana, would like to thank the Banyuwangi Regency Government and PMI Banyuwangi for the collaboration that has existed for a decade.
“Banyuwangi is our second home. We feel happy and proud to be able to contribute to the government's blindness prevention program. Hopefully this collaboration will remain sustainable and we will continue to help people in need,” said Komang, Tuesday (24/10/2023).
Komang invites the public to jointly support the government's blindness prevention program by providing early detection and immediate treatment if they experience symptoms of cataracts or other eye disorders..
“Cataracts can be prevented and cured with surgery. Don't let cataracts prevent you from seeing the world. Immediately contact PMI Banyuwangi or JFF if you or your family need free eye health services,” said Komang.
On the anniversary of a decade of cooperation, PMI and JFF are again holding stage eye health services 2 for underprivileged communities in Banyuwangi. Free cataract surgery is provided for 300 society cannot afford it, start 24-28 October 2023.

In addition to free cataract eye surgery, The Banyuwangi Regency Government also provides assistance in the form of: 37 prosthetic legs and arms in collaboration with Sumberglagah Pacet Regional Hospital, Mojokerto. (*)
