Head of field (Head of Division) Marketing Department of Culture and Tourism Banyuwangi, Ainur Rofiq explained, Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival year 2023 will net as much 75 prospective participants from all over Banyuwangi by conducting auditions at five points.
“So when there is a talented participant who fits all the criteria, we immediately give pass tickets,” he said, Wednesday (15/03/2023).
However, Rofik continued, Participants who audition but have not received a pass ticket will still be reconsidered.
“The Jury is taken from seniors from the Department of Culture and Tourism itself, then cultural Banyuwangi, entertainment activist, professional modeling and designer,he explained.
The auditions were held for six days, with the place and date of the audition among others:
- Tuesday, 14 March 2023, Rogojampi District Office.
- Wednesday, 15 March 2023, Srono District Office
- Thursday, 16 March 2023, Bangorejo District Office
- Friday, 17 March 2023, Banyuwangi Disbudpar Office with the target of prospective BEC participants from Regional Work Units (SKPD), State-owned enterprises (BUMN), Banking and Hotelier.
- Monday, 20 March 2023, Banyuwangi Disbudpar Office, but with the target of prospective BEC participants, both students and the general public.
- Tuesday, 21 March 2023, Genteng District Office.
With the theme 'The Magical Of Ijen Geopark', criteria for prospective participants of the Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival 2023 are those who have ideal body posture, have basic regional dance talent and participants can play expressions of time catwalk.
“It's not only the old faces of past Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival participants who can audition, those who have never participated in BEC can also take part in the selection” he concluded.
Rofik added, with the inclusion of the Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival event in the Kharisma Event Nusantara program (KEN) The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia is making the series of annual activities longer and will be held for as long as 6 day, which is planned to be held on 4 until 9 July 2023.
“Our theme is about Ijen Geopark because it coincides with the establishment of Ijen Geopark in the UNESCO Global Geopark (UGG),” he said.
Therefore, in the Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival series of activities 2023 There will be Geopark exhibitions throughout Indonesia, then a National Conference will also be held (National Conference) Geopark managers throughout Indonesia. Continuing after the Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival or H+1 there will also be an Awarding for the winners of the BEC participants, in the awarding there will be a BEC music concert as a form of entertainment for art and music connoisseurs.
