UMK Banyuwangi 2017 Increase to Rp 1,7 Million

BANYUWANGI- Good news for private workers in Banyuwangi. Starting January 2017, district minimum wage (UMK) will increase to Rp 1,73 million or an increase of approx 8,5 percent of this year's UMK Rp 1, 59 million.

This increase in the minimum wage has been socialized to all companies and must take effect next January. All companies start next year, must pay employees wages in accordance with the new UMK. “For companies that are economically unable to provide salaries in accordance with the new UMK, can make delays. However, you must apply for a postponement first," said the Head of Social Services, Transmigration, and Workforce, Head (Dinsostransnaker) Syaiful Alam Sudrajat.

Nature says, for the implementation of the new UMK, The government has carried out outreach to a number of companies. “We called all the surrounding companies and unions 200 people to socialize about this UMK increase in Mendut yesterday," he explained.

The increase in the UMK which has been ratified is mandatory for every entrepreneur in Banyuwangi to carry out.

"Until now, no company has submitted a proposal to postpone the implementation of the UMK. So we consider all companies in Banyuwangi to be ready to implement the latest UMK in 2018 2017 tomorrow," he concluded. (radar)
