BANYUWANGI – The security forces, both TNI and Polri and other related agencies, ensure that they are ready to carry out security for the Eid homecoming season this year. This readiness is shown by the implementation of the Army Holds the Operation Ketupat Semeru 2018 in the parking area of the Ketapang ferry port on Wednesday (7/6/2018) yesterday.

Ada dua tempat yang menjadi fokus pengamanan dalam Operasi Ketupat Semeru tahun ini yakni bandara dan pelabuhan laut. Untuk dua wilayah ini, polisi menerjunkan personel tambahan dari Brimob dan Gegana masing-masing satu pleton. Pada dua obyek vital ini juga diperbantukan unit K9 (anjing pelacak).
“K9 diperbantukan guna mempermudah sterilisasi untuk semakin memperkuat personel yang diturunkan,” he emphasized again.
Untuk pengamanan Selat Bali, Donny menyebut akan dilakukan patroli bersama Satpol Airud, TNI AL dan Basarnas. Patroli bersama ini dilakukan untuk memantau situasi dan menjaga keamanan lalu lintas penyeberangan.
Dalam operasi ini didirikan 17 posko. Satu posko merupakan posko terpadu, 7 pos pelayanan sedangkan 9 sisanya merupakan pos pengamanan. He explained, for traffic that is prone to congestion, personnel will be placed to help direct and regulate traffic. This includes roads that are still repairing roads and bridges. “So that people can pass the road without any obstacles," he concluded.
