Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) ensuring the government's alignment in improving the welfare of farmers. The Ministry of Trade in collaboration with local governments will continue to develop regional potential and facilitate access to exports of avocados and dragon fruit so they can be marketed to the global market.
“The potential for avocado and dragon fruit in Banyuwangi will be strengthened nationally and globally. Collaboration of all parties is needed in supporting farmers to develop,” said Zulhas, Tuesday (22/11/2022).
This was confirmed by Zulhas during a dialogue with the Dragon Fruit Farmers Association (and below) in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Tuesday (22/11). Also accompanying Zulhas, Director General of Consumer Protection and Business Regulation Veri Anggrijono.
Zulhas revealed, together with other relevant agencies will continue to work together in facilitating increased market access for domestic products. The Ministry of Trade will collaborate between agencies in providing assistance to improve the dragon fruit processing industry.
