“In the beginning, Izul often used a grenade (cans of bread),"said Anis Syamsudi. Six months ago Izul asked for a ketipung to be beaten to fill his spare time after school. “I count only for regular toys, so I bought ketipung cheaply, why is it even slammed and thrown away,” recalled Anis while glancing at her son.
Because of whining to buy ketipung, Anis gave up and bought a ketipung in Banyuwangi for Rp 350 thousand. Since then, Izul immediately beat the ketipung without the help of a mentor (assistant teacher). After practicing for two weeks, Izul asked for a ketipung music course. Because of the seriousness of practicing, his parents obeyed his son's wishes by bringing in a coach. Unexpected, only two face-to-face, the mentor asked because Izul was considered able to beat the ketipung well.
"So it's only been two times of practice that I can accompany the music properly and correctly",said Nur Hayati, ibunda Izul. Since then Izul has ventured to appear in front of the audience in musical performances. Coincidentally, one of the families is having a wedding and there is music entertainment.
"Izul immediately contributed as a ketipung beater,He said. His first appearance captivated the audience and was eyed by the music group owner. Especially at that time, Izul can perform well with One Nada musicians by accompanying Banyuwangi artists, Wandra.
The musicians were surprised by the little drummer's performance. Result, Izul successfully accompanies eight songs at once. “The musicians were shocked, because apart from the right tempo, can also accompany eight songs at once. Usually the size of a small child is just three songs already sucks," he explained.
