BANYUWANGI – Banyuwangi into one of three regions in Indonesia that have entered the Intelligent City Network for the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN). Selection of Jakarta and Makassar Banyuwangi together into the network was conducted at the ASEAN Summit in April 2018 then.
As a follow up of the program, Banyuwangi regent Abdullah Azwar Anas was appointed as one of the Indonesian delegation to attend the ASEAN workshop Smartcities Governance in Singapore, Tuesday (22/5/2018).
Banyuwangi were given the opportunity to follow the development of experience-sharing session with representatives of the smart city smart city ASEAN countries. As much as 26 city / area of 10 ASEAN countries are involved in the forum opened by the Executive Director of the Center for Liveable Cities Singapore well as ASEAN Chair Smart Cities Network 2018, Khoo Teng Chye, mentioned.
“Delegates will follow a sharing session to explore the potential and the best practices from each region,” Anas said in a statement.
