To ensure the safety of road users during Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri, Banyuwangi Regency Government made various efforts.
Starting from repairing roads in a number of sections to deploying volunteers for railroad crossing guards (KA) which is not barred.
Dozens of volunteers were recruited to help regulate the flow of traffic around the rail crossing without a gate.
"This is an effort to prevent accidents". During Eid, the traffic flow is definitely getting denser, So we have to increase our security measures. Including at vulnerable points such as railroad crossings without gates which are indeed very risky for accidents,"said Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani when handing over Eid gifts to railway crossing guards in Lugjag Village, Rogojampi Kecamatan District, Tuesday (26/4/2022).
According to Ipuk, they play a very important role in minimizing accidents due to the density of vehicles during Eid moments. They are also willing and sincere to work when they should be able to gather with their family.
