Head of Public Relations of the Banyuwangi Police, Iptu Lita Kurniawan said, The incident began when the victim's child said goodbye to work at around 1:00 p.m 11.00 WIB. “After no one was home, The victim then committed suicide," said Inspector Lita when confirmed.
Lita still said, This hanging incident was later discovered by neighbors. At that time, neighbors close to the victim's house were repairing the roof of their house. "The neighbor saw the victim hanging on the bamboo platform,added Lita.
The witness then reported the incident to the local RT head and forwarded it to the police. “When we checked at the crime scene, The victim was no longer moving and was hanging from a bamboo platform using a blue slap rope,” explained Lita.
From the results of the medical team's examination, he said, No signs of violence were found on the victim's body. “So the deceased died purely because he hanged himself," he explained.
It is not yet known exactly why the victim ended his life by committing suicide, but from information obtained by the police, The victim had been with his son in Jakarta.
