Because of the "exorbitant" price, the purchase of purebred chicken by consumers has fallen drastically. as a result, since the second day of Ramadan, Thursday to be exact (11/7), Susi and a number of other traders were “forced” to lower the selling price of the broiler chicken to Rp 32 thousand per Kg.
"Even though the price of buying live chickens from farmers is rising, we had to lower the selling price of chicken meat, ie from Rp 35 thousand per Kg to Rp 32 thousand per Kg,he said yesterday (14/7). But honey, decrease in the price of chicken meat, it's not followed by a decrease in the price of the head, Chicken feet (legs), and chicken innards. Because, to work around so as not to lose, traders choose to increase the price of chicken claws and heads.
Not only that, price of chicken innards, i.e. the heart and gizzard are also raised. The price of the claws and heads previously was Rp 20 thousand per Kg, now increased to Rp 24 thousand per Kg. The increase in the price of chicken liver and gizzard is even higher, ie from Rp 32 thousand per Kg to Rp 40 thousand per Kg. According to Susi, option to increase the price check, head, heart, and chicken gizzard, it's not without reason.
Because according to him, when the trend of buying chicken meat goes down, consumers even prefer to buy claws, head, heart, and the gizzard. “Because the sale of chicken meat is quiet, we increase the price checker, head, heart, and chicken gizzard, to cover losses.
