BANYUWANGI – The action plan for a brawl between SMP and MTs students in Banyuwangi was successfully thwarted by the Songgon Police, Monday (6/8/2018).

Songgon Police Chief, AKP Bakin SH said, his party received news if there were indications of a brawl by State Middle School students 1 Songgon and MTs Songgon. This was the result of two students from the two schools having an argument.

Before the fight happened, The police immediately took precautions before school hours ended. “We sent two personnel to MTs Songgon to provide guidance and counseling to students who indicated there would be brawls,” clear.

The students were given counseling about negative impacts and legal sanctions for students who were involved in brawls or fights. Or legal sanctions for perpetrators of damage to goods and or injuring others.

“Then look for the root of the problem that became the source of the fight between the two students,” added.

The police also involved parents of students by summoning them to school. This needs to be done so that parents are also pro-active in participating in supervising their children.

“Apart from counseling, the students we indicated were given measurable sanctions, push up,” he said.

He hopes that the Banyuwangi Education Office can immediately sit down with related institutions to formulate a formula for dealing with the phenomenon of student brawls. The formulation will be used as a reference for all interested parties.

“As a common reference, if there are sanctions and so on. Don't take it as normal,” he concluded, while reminding.

Previously, police officers in Banyuwangi also thwarted the attack on SMK students at the Banyuwangi State MA. This was sparked by mutual taunts on social media.
