The atmosphere of grief is still felt at the parents' house of the Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas in Karangdoro Village, Tegalsari District. Dozens of wreaths lined the entrance to the funeral home. There is from the Deputy Governor of East Java, Sekdaprov, DPP PKB, to a number of well-known companies. Among the many guests who come, tahlil sentence echoes in the funeral home. Understood, until the third day of the departure of Kiai Sayyidi, the tahlilan is still going on which starts at 16.00 until just before breaking the fast.

"Tahlilan will continue until the seventh day later",'' said Regent Anas on the sidelines of receiving guests who came that afternoon. The figure of Kiai Musayyidi is indeed quite well known in the village. His character is still talked about by many people. Like the saying goes, the great man is the one who gives birth to the great man. That sentence often invites many people's questions about the figure of KH. Achmad Musayyidi.

He is a kiai from Sampang, Madura who was born in 1939 ago. His journey to Karangdoro Village, Tegalsari District, started in 1943 or enter age 4 year. at that time, Sayyidi who since childhood was left behind by his father, the late Manaqib, invited by the mother, Khorija, to cross to Surabaya with some of his brothers.

Also in the entourage were four sisters of Sayyidi. They are Rohimah (sister), and three older brothers each Mahroji, Fans, Abdul Aziz |, and an uncle named Dhofir. From Surabaya, group from Madura, take the old fashioned train or klutuk train heading east and get off to Kalisetail Station, Sempu Kecamatan District.

When you arrive at Sempu, a group that at that time had no relatives in Banyuwangi, continue the journey towards the south which is now the village of Karangdoro, Tegalsari District. Travel from Kalisetail Station, Sempu sub-district towards Karangodoro, which is approx 17 This kilometer is taken by Khoiriya with her children by walking.

At that time, there was no public transportation, because the condition is still a forest. Well after arriving at a place, precisely in the village of Karangdoro, Khoiriya and his children and Dhofir, choose to stop there, then decided to stay and clear the forest in that place. at that time, The location where little Sayyidi lives is to the north of the Mabadi'ul Ihsan Islamic Boarding School, which he nurtured until the end of his life.

The arrival of this group was also known by the local village elders, namely Mbah Karso Joyo. He is also known as a rich person and has quite qualified religious knowledge. later, Mbah Karso Joyo pays more attention to the figure of little Sayyidi. Through the advantages, The village elder was able to "predict" that Sayyidi would become a big man.

“Until then, Mbah Karso Joyo pays special attention to Abah (Kiai Musayyidi, Red), Besides being educated, sometimes I also buy clothes,”Said Murtasimah, one of the daughters of the late Kiai Musayyidi. Well when entering a young age, or around 1959's, Kiai Sayyidi begins to study religion. He chose to study at the Bustanul Makmur Islamic Boarding School, Wetan Tile Village, Tile District, which was then fostered by the late KH. Djunaidi.

While in this boarding school, apart from studying religion, He also gets to know a lot of other students, who at that time often joined the caretaker of the pesantren to fight for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. When compared to most students, Kiai Sayyidi also briefly studied at Kebunrejo. Two years later, he decided to go home and teach in the musala where he lives.

Only at certain times, such as the Month of Ramadan, Young Sayyidi spends his time in several pesantren in Pasuruan, to follow the khataman study of the yellow book quickly or quickly. After Ramadan, he returned again to his hometown to teach in a musala made of bamboo, as usual. Soon, on the results of Kiai Djunaidi's istikharah, finally young Sayyidi married Siti Aisyiah, girl from Pedotan, Bangorejo District, who at that time was still old 12 year.

Regarding his study at the boarding school, which is only for a short time, The deceased once said that his way of learning was not the same as his current children. The story seems to imply that the deceased had his own advantages in capturing the subject matter while at the boarding school.

“He once said, I don’t like studying with you, if you study like you're bored(I don't study with you, if you study like you take too long, Red),”Said Syukran Makmun Hidayat, one of the sons of Kiai Musayyidi imitated his father's words.

In addition to teaching religious knowledge to the surrounding community, Young Sayyidi, who at that time was still intensely communicating with Kiai Djunaidi and his colleagues at the Islamic boarding school, also known to often give knowledge of immunity to his students. Because back then, the situation in Banyuwangi is indeed chaotic.

Rebellion after rebellion, including those carried out by the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI), became the main reason why he had to impart the science of immunity to his students. In fact, almost every day also many general public who come to his house, to ask for knowledge of immunity. "In the past, you used to 'fill in' people like that,”Said Murtasimah.

But without realizing it, The attitude of this young Sayyidi actually provoked the anger of the PKI. One day when I was a priest praying in the musala, suddenly a group of PKI came. When you arrive at the prayer room, The PKI group immediately dragged Kiai Sayyidi, who was the imam of the prayer. Not only that, the young Sayyidi's body was also chopped up with a rope, then dragged by car to a place in Jajag Village, Gambiran District.

The distance is approx. 10 kilometers east of Kiai Sayyidi .'s residence. Seeing that, the worshipers can't do anything. They can only grieve watching their teacher being tortured. Even thought young Sayyidi died as a result of being dragged by the car. But when he arrived at a place in Jajag Village, and the attractive car stopped and left Sayyidi's body just like that, Turns out he's still alive, even with bloody wounds on his body.

Worse, the scars remain until the deceased breathed his last. When the shirt is opened, The wounds from being dragged by a car on Kiai Sayydi's body are still visible. "There are still scars on the abdomen, There's even a hole in your stomach, a scar from being dragged by a PKI car,”Said Murtasimah. (radar)
