IMAGE – SDN 1 Yosomlyo, Gambiran District, led by the school principal Ririh Kartini Asih has a vision and mission to preserve and love the indigenous culture of the Banyuwangi area. The first step to realizing the vision and mission, school as one of the institutions of cultural preservation, then take steps to replace the existing batik uniform according to the vision and mission above.

Good from color, pattern, and fashion. Only male students use Banyuwangi's typical udeng. The typical Banyuwangi batik uniform is changed to green (adapt to the green and clean program). For female students, the skirt is given a belt with a typical Banyuwangi batik nuance, which is shaped like a ribbon as a symbol of sebong.

Before the policy is decided, the principal will socialize it to the teacher council, committee, class association, guardians of students in general and to students. So that when students wear these clothes, they understand the implied meaning of their uniforms. So that they are confident and proud of the batik uniform and udeng they wear.

To inspire and motivate students, all the teacher councils also give examples by using the typical Banyuwangi udeng. The principal's policy appreciates the appeal from the Banyuwangi Regent to always use ATMs (They say, Cheat, and Modification). Even though SDN 1 Yosomulyo is far from the capital city of Banyuwangi, However, this does not dampen the enthusiasm to participate in the success of local government programs, of course, it is adjusted to their abilities, the situation and conditions in which the institution's environment is located.
