From 50 DPRD members as a result of the election 2009, 42 one person ran again as a legislative candidate and eight others decided to retire. From 42 the incumbent legislative candidate, 21 It has been confirmed that he will walk back to the people's representative building located on Jalan Adi Sucipto. It is just, not all 21 The person entered the Gandrung City council building again.

Several people moved to the East Java DPRD in Surabaya. From 42 the representative of the people, there are those who are running again as legislative candidates for the East Java DPRD and the Republic of Indonesia DPRD. Four DPRD members, Hermanto, Sudjarwo Arkat (PDIP), H. Fauzan, and Hj. Nasiroh (PPP), running as a legislative candidate for the East Java DPRD. Two persons, Adil Ahmadiyono (PD) and Dadang Wahyu (PDIP), running as a candidate for DPR RI for electoral district III East Java. Of the four East Java DPRD legislative candidates, only Sudjarwo and Fauzan, who passed to the East Java DPRD building.

Two other legislative candidates failed because their votes did not meet the voter divisor (BPP). Meanwhile, The votes obtained by the two parties can only provide one legislative candidate each. Adil and Dadang have the same political fate as their two colleagues who are running for the East Java DPRD, Hermanto and Nasiroh. Both of them failed to make their way to Senayan, Jakarta. The votes won by the two politicians were not enough to get tickets for DPR RI seats.

Whereas 15 other council members are trying to repeat the election success 2009 by running again as a legislative candidate for the Banyuwangi DPRD. It is just, The success achieved in the election five years ago is not directly proportional to the election results 2014. DPRD politicians who will retire in August 2014 It seems that it must recognize the superiority of its juniors.

As experienced by the incumbent legislative candidate of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Juwaini. The chairman of the DPD PAN Banyuwangi was defeated by the newcomer legislative candidates, Sugiarto, who managed to collect 2.921 voice. Juwaini was only able to reach 2.109 voice. The same thing was experienced by the incumbent Democratic Party legislative candidate in the electoral district (electoral area) I, Tituk Indar Isworowati and H. Verdyanto Wellya.

The two legislative candidates were eliminated because they lost their vote share to the newcomer candidates, Wendriawanto, who successfully collected 2.781 voice. Tituk and Verdiyanto can only 2.363 and 1.2296 vote. Apart from losing the vote, Both of them were unable to continue their soft positions because the party's vote share had dropped sharply compared to the previous election. At Elections 2009, PD in electoral district I succeeded in appointing two cadres as DPRD members.

However, In this year's election it only won one seat. The Golkar Party also experienced the same fate. Because he failed to defend the two seats won in the previous election, one incumbent legislative candidate named Muhammad Gozali had to step down. The Golkar Party in electoral district I only managed to win one seat, previously got two seats. Gozali's vote tally is actually not much different from the votes of the elected incumbent legislative candidates, Umi Kulsum, as much 3.715 voice. Gozali can only 3.186 voice.

Gerindra Party incumbent legislative candidate Hj. Lismiyana and Sri Hartatik also fell. Lismiyana stepped down because her vote was lower than that of the DPC Chairman of the Gerindra Party H. Naufal Badri who earned 2.448 voice. Lismiyana can only 442 voice. Sri Hartatik also experienced the same thing. The incumbent legislative candidate for electoral district IV lost the vote to the new face legislative candidate, Andik Purwanto. Sri Hartatik got it 2.441 voice. Andi's vote results were far behind Hartatik's votes, which only got 3,486.

Another Gerindra legislative candidate who failed was Masruro. He is listed as a member of the DPRD from PKNU who ran again through Gerindra, but his efforts failed. Member of the DPRD Education and Development Commission, H. Roni Agfur Rendra, also failed to compete with other Democratic Party incumbent legislative candidates, Handoko. Roni's vote acquisition was not too far from Handoko's vote acquisition 3.726 voice. Roni got it 3.304 voice.

It is just, because the PD's vote share in electoral district II dropped and they only got one seat, then Roni was expelled from the DPRD. Besides that, voter divisor number (BPP) high as voter turnout increased to approx 17,8 thousand. Member of the Democratic Faction (PD) others who had to leave the council building were Daroji and Wignyo Basuki. The votes of the two legislative candidates who departed from electoral district IV were lost to those of the junior legislative candidates, Bring it on, who is able to collect 4.051 voice. Daroji 1.417 and Wignyo only 1.061 voice.

PDIP faction member Sukirman is also on the list of DPRD members who failed to extend their term of office for the second time. Sukirman, who departed from electoral district III, was also unable to compete with two new legislative candidates. At Elections 2009 then, PDIP in electoral district III got three seats. At Elections 2014, one PDIP seat floated, so Sukirman failed to enter again. The two new PDIP legislative candidates for electoral district III are Hery Sugiarto who got it 4.294 voice, Irianto 4.640 voice, and Sukirman can only 2.834 voice. "At the KPU plenary meeting, the allocation of seats and the selection of legislative candidates will be determined, we convey the BPP of each electoral district," said the Chairman of the KPU, Syamsul Arifin.
