Wonosobo Community Health Center Collaborates with Schools
SRONO-Even though all villages in its working area have been declared ODF (Open Defi cation Free), However, the Wonosobo Community Health Center and health cadres continue to work to make the river clean and comfortable to look at. Another Puskesmas program with health cadres was launched, namely ProLove (Clean Times Program). The program aims to make rivers healthier and cleaner. The triggering program targets school children.
The children were instructed and given a good understanding of the river and personal hygiene. Even, child- children are also involved by being Prokasih ambassadors. "Children are expected to be friends of the river,’’ Kata Mujito, SKM, Mmm, head of the Wonosobo Community Health Center. The river is no longer used as a dumping ground. Especially where you defecate. Rivers are also not a healthy place to bathe, wash clothes, let alone washing food. "With Prokasih, children are expected- children love rivers more,” he added.
The Prokasih program is prioritized in schools- school located near the river. The first activity was carried out at SDN 2 Wonosobo, river bank school headed by Drs. Anshori. The triggering was led directly by Rokhani , Wonosobo Community Health Center environmental health coordinator. He was assisted by cadres- Kader Prokasih, namely Husen, Sridayaningsih, and Ahmad Abd. Azis. Ambarwati, SPd, Local UKS teachers also actively participated in the triggering. Even, Suyut was also present, local hamlet head. The event was lively.
The children seemed to participate in the event with enthusiasm. Even, they are carried away and triggered to carry out directions from health cadres. The end of the event was the selection of Prokasih ambassadors in the school. Five Prokasih ambassadors were selected, namely Dewi Masita from class V, Intan Rosida from class IV, Rijal Muhaimin from class IV, Yusron Hadi from class III, and Sindi Adinda also from class III. Pinned on their chests are Prokasih pins. At all times, The pin will be worn on his clothes to remind himself and others to keep the river clean.
“We formed this ambassador with the task of reminding friends- her friend, his brother, and his parents, to love the river, no longer make rivers a place to dispose of waste, especially human waste,” hoped Mujito. The ambassadors will become friends of the Wonosobo Community Health Center. “In the future, all schools will have students near rivers, we will form Prokasih ambassadors like this,” concluded Mujito.
