BBL Year 2012
BANYUWANGI - Banyuwangi Basketball League event (BBL) edition 2012 starting this afternoon. Exist 59 teams from elementary school level (SD), first secondary (SMP), and above (senior High School) who will show off their skills at the Friends of Banyuwangi GOR. The event itself is scheduled to take place until 26 next May. Head of Perbasi Banyuwangi, Edi Paintingo, said the participants who took part did not only come from Banyuwangi.
Teams from Situbondo and Jember also competed to be the best in the event which was held to commemorate the day of education and national awakening. For the elementary school category, according to Edi, There will be two pools for men and women. Meanwhile, for junior high school there are five pools consisting of two girls' pools and three boys' pools.
Meanwhile, in the high school section, participants will be divided into six pools for boys and two pools for girls. As a guardian of the quality of competition, Perbasi also carries out training for referees who will officiate matches in this year's BBL. “All competition equipment is provided with training and refresher materials. This is solely to maintain the quality of the match," he explained.
