In the choir competition for the Banyuwangi Regent's Cup,, all participants appear quite energetic because the committee requires all participants to perform choreography. So the stiff and monotonous impression that is usually seen in choir competitions is completely invisible. Apart from choreography, The choir group also has to perform two songs consisting of an obligatory song and a folk song.
“The committee gives a choice for the mandatory song, namely Build Youth, Fly my flag, Forward Undaunted, and to you country. Folk songs, participants are free to choose the title of the national regional song, such as Banners Blambangan and Bungong Jeumpa with a total duration of fifteen minutes,”Explained Yon’s DD, chairman of the jury.
To determine the winner, a jury team consisting of Yon’s DD (Blambangan Arts Hall), Hendro Harsono (Dispendik), and Tri Widodo (Bakesbangpol), it took about an hour and a half for the meeting because each participant performed well and competed fiercely.
