Estimated, these two locations became part of human civilization in the century 14. Archaeological remains in Tangkup Hamlet based on several finds of pottery and ceramic shards indicate that the location was once a former settlement.

Meanwhile, The relics in Maelang Hamlet are thought to be a nomadic farming area used by ancient civilizations. The existence of a dakon-shaped calendar in a cave marks the area as a temporary settlement used by ancient civilizations to wait for the harvest.
From the age of the ceramics which are thought to be from the Ming Dynasty, the location was probably used in the century 14 or 15. Dear, when the BPCB team trowulan together with the Banyuwangi Tourism Office Culture Division team visited the two locations, many pieces of scattered archaeological resources.
Head of Culture Disparbud Banyuwangi, Choliqul Ridha, said the BPCB team had temporarily identified archaeological resources in the two hamlets of Watukebo Village. From that research, the heritage site in Tangkup Hamlet is considered more worthy of being a historical site.
Some of the findings at the site were brought to Trowulan for further research. Rida added, later BPCB will make a report to the Archaeological Center. So that there is further research that is more specific. While waiting for further research, the village and the Northern Territory Perhutani will take care so that the location is not looted by irresponsible people.
