BANYUWANGI – Candidates for Deputy Governor (Deputy Governor) East Java, Abdullah Azwar Anas will use a number of innovations he did in Banyuwangi as a campaign capital for the upcoming Gubernatorial Election. One of the things that will be conveyed by Anas is the 'smart village' program’ or with a term that has been popular in Banyuwangi, namely smart village.

“Smart village can be an alternative concept that is relevant to answer public needs,” said Anas after visiting one of the Smart Villages in Pengantigan Village, Rogojampi Kecamatan District, Banyuwangi, Sunday (3/12/2017) night.

“Villages and village heads should not only be in the spotlight regarding the amount of village funds from the center and the allocation of village funds from local governments, but also must be empowered and trusted. Smart Kampung provides an instrument for village governments to innovate to serve residents,” he added.

Anas explains, Smart Kampung is a village development program that combines the use of information technology (TI), productive economic activity, health-education improvement, and poverty alleviation.

Smart Kampung itself was launched by the Minister of Communication and Information (Minister of Communication and Information) Rudiantara on 31 May 2016.

“So there are seven criteria for Smart Kampung, namely public service, economic empowerment, health services, development of education and arts and culture, human resource capacity building, poverty alleviation integration, and legal information literacy. All of these criteria are supported by information technology. Currently already 120 the village in Banyuwangi has fiber optic,” Anas said.

Smart Village, continued Anas, also become a 'toll road'’ for underprivileged residents when they are going to take care of the Poor Statement (SPM). Management of this letter is now sufficient at the village level.

“Formerly, management of this letter to the district level. With Smart Village, enough to do at the village level. So the data is running, not the person. The process that used to be complicated and took days is now simpler and shorter, only a few hours. There are also many other letters which are sufficient in the village and maximum in the sub-district only,” Anas said.

Anas is optimistic that a similar model can continue to be developed in East Java. With this program, villages can innovate and provide excellent service to the community.

“This village is at the forefront of regional development, so it must continue to be supported. In addition to village funds, which have been extraordinary distributed by President Jokowi, local governments need to make it a success by providing space for village governments to innovate,” Anas concluded.

Anas has established himself in advancing to the East Java gubernatorial election. He is with the future cagub Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) supported by PDIP and PKB.
