KALIPURO – Potholes are now commonly found on a number of district roads in Banyuwangi. It indicates a task force (Task Force) pothole road formed by Pemkab Banyuwangi, start not working.

Damage and many potholes on the road, there have been many victims. Multiple vehicle users, mainly two-wheeled vehicles fell because they failed to avoid the holes in the road.
As happened on Monday afternoon (23/4). One of the residents of Kertosari Village, Benny Siswanto fell because he was hit by another vehicle which forced itself to avoid the hole.
As a result, the man with two children was ejected from his motorbike into the underside of a trailer truck that was parked. Luckily the victim only suffered minor injuries.
Samsuri also complained about the damage to this road, one of the fuso truck drivers who often passes that road. He admitted that there were too many holes and they were not repaired immediately.
As well as endangering the driver, Samsuri said, many vehicles forced themselves to avoid potholes, also makes the vehicle easily damaged. “This alone, my truck's axle almost broke because of frequent potholes. Even though it is renovated every year, but every year it gets badly damaged,” he complained.
When confirmed, the Kalipuro sub-district head, Anacleto da Silva, said that the road was a national road. So even though it's in his territory, he couldn't recommend a fix.
“Just ask PU, we hope there is a serious handling. Many reports to me regarding the road. If possible, close it temporarily during repairs. Let the maximum,” he said.
Road damage was also seen on the Labanasem village highway, District of Kabat. In contrast to Argopuro Street, the road damage in Labansem Village is no longer a pothole but a puddle on the highway.
At the moment, Vehicles crossing the access road to the Rogojampi West Ring Road are no longer able to avoid the puddles. Road users are forced to pass through a large puddle that is right in front of the asbestos factory.
Head of the PU Cipta Karya and Spatial Planning Office Mujiono through the Head of Bina Marga Ebta Arisandi said, for the Argopuro road will be repaired this year. In the APBD 2018 provided a budget of around Rp 300 million to repair the damaged road.
