The month of Ramadan has greeted us back. Thanks to the permission of Allah SWT, the Most Merciful and Merciful, an episode of life that means enjoyment and therefore deserves our gratitude. Because Allah has promised in QS. Ibrahim: 7, He will add pleasure to those who are able to be grateful, and instead a painful punishment for those who are ungrateful.

As an effort to manifest that gratitude, then on Wednesday, 13 last july, we are hospital directors (RS) in the city of Banyuwangi and its surroundings who are members of the "Salam Plan" program gathered at Blambangan Hospital to discuss what best efforts we can provide at this time, in their respective hospitals, in the momentum of Ramadan this time.

The discussion then gave rise to a collective spirit which we packaged in the tagline "Hospital Cares for Worship/ Worship Friendly Hospital." In accordance with Law no. 44 year 2009 about the hospital, that a hospital is a health service institution that organizes individual health services in a plenary manner that provides inpatient services, outpatient, and emergency.

Or another definition that is quite "old" from the world health agency, but still relevant, bahwa “The hospital is an integral part of social and medical organization, the function of which is to provide for the population complete health care both curative and rehabilitative, whose outpatient service reach out to the family and as home environment, the hospital is also a center for the training of health workers and for bio social research”.

The hospital is an organization that combines social and medical interests. Currently also added with business interests (economy). Its function is to provide comprehensive health services to the community, in a curative and rehabilitative sense, now it has also been added with a preventive function.

For example medical check-ups and promotive functions. For example, the provision of information about health in the hospital. So that people who need a hospital are not just people who are sick. I invite you to parse a little about "worship". A term that I believe we are very familiar with.

Especially in this Ramadan atmosphere. Why do we feel it is important to place this service in the world of service that we are involved in. That is the world of the hospital? The answer lies in the urgency of worship in human life which turns out to be very central. Even Allah SWT as the Creator of all of us has confirmed in QS. Adz Dzariyaat : 6, that the purpose of the creation of humans and jinns is to worship.

So, You can imagine what would happen if the worship factor was not involved in our activities, of course what will be obtained in the end is failure to fulfill the purpose of our creation as humans. If the hospital is said to be born from the womb of humanity, then it is more relevant for us to connect the hospital with the mission of creating human beings themselves, namely worship.

In today's modern era, where competition is fierce, then it is appropriate for Blambangan Hospital to provide services that can satisfy the customer. One of them is by providing worship services according to the customer's religion. Example, provide clergy (Islam, Kristen, Catholic, Hindu, Budha), prepare scriptures, dll.

As an example of worship services for Muslim customers is reminding them when it is time to pray, Qibla direction in each room, lend prayer equipment and the Koran, provide a worship guide (clean up, salat, and fasting) for sick people, provide spiritual guidance and spiritual motivation to inpatients and their families, providing posters and leaflets et prayer for patient visits, provide energy for the call to prayer and iqomah for newborns, dll.

If said as a goal, that is our concern when building the spirit of “Worship Care Hospital.” Please pray for his blessing that Allah will enable us to realize these ideals. Amen ya robbal alamin. (radar) The author is the Director of Blambangan Hospital
