Meanwhile, from a development standpoint, Banyuwangi Airport has won the Aga Khan Awards.

Design Banyuwangi Airport also called supporting the application of technology to create a good travel experience.
Besides that, Banyuwangi Airport also uses solar power plants (PLTS) in the Airport Rescue building & Fire Fighting.
“PLTS is installed on an area of the roof 600 square meter with capacity 35,1 kilo watt peak,” said AP II Director of Engineering Agus Wialdi.

The use of PLTS is a form of using New, Renewable Energy / EBT in the AP II airport environment to reduce carbon emissions.
“As ACI states, air transport must do carbon reduction so it can continue to connect people, economy, various ideas, culture and the business world for future generations,” he continued.
