This was done by Matt who underwent a penis enlargement procedure to improve the shape of his penis. Matt first discovered Penuma, a silicone penile implant that is surgically inserted just under the skin of the shaft of the penis, through an online search.
The implant is claimed to increase the length and girth of the penis as well as help straighten crooked penises. Matt didn't like the shape of his penis because it looked crooked. The indentation in his genitals is said to make his partner feel pain during sex.
Telling The Insider, in Sept 2019, Matt flew to Los Angeles to get Penuma's penis implants done to Dr James Elist.
Short outpatient procedure, usually takes place 45 until 60 minute. The cost is between $16.000 and $18.000 or around Rp 237 million to Rp 267 million, depending on the doctor, and not covered by insurance.
Post-penile implant side effects
Weeks after surgery, Matt, a contractor in his forties living in the western US, started experiencing excruciating pain and swelling, followed by seroma, fluid that collects under the skin. His penis ended up crooked even worse than before.
“Like an orange peel in the sun. I have to struggle extra to the toilet to pee,” I'm Matt.
Matt previously told Insider that after surgery, he followed Elist's strict orders: No sex, no masturbation, and using a compression wrap that fits snugly around the penis.
The painful swelling does not go away, said Matt. Five months later, in February 2020, he returns to Elist's office to ask her to remove the implant. But new complications arose. At that time, The Elist uses Covidien polyester mesh to hold the implant in place.
As a result of that net, said Matt, scar tissue formed over his penis, constricts blood flow and prevents it from stretching and expanding. He ultimately chose to seek treatment from another urologist, and has since undergone seven costly surgical procedures.
After many times doing penis repair procedures, now the shape is better even though Matt describes the vital organ implant he underwent at the beginning like his biggest regret.
“Looks like it's finally back to normal and working fine now. But it took a lot of money and years of despair to get here,” concluded Matt.
