MUNCAR-The pond that has been used as a berth for boats and ships owned by fishermen at Muncar Harbor, Kedungrejo village, Muncar District, there has been a siltation in the last few months.
A number of large fishing vessels, often hassles to get into the port. Starting yesterday (23/5), Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DKP) East Java Province is doing dredging at the port using excavators.
For the dredging, three heavy equipment dropped at once. In the dredging, Soil and sand from the bottom of the harbor are transported by excavators and placed on the edge of the wharf. During the dredging, an unpleasant odor is felt. “Dredged because the harbor is shallow,” said the Head of the Syahbandar Muncar Unit, The Farida.
