The jumbo-sized limousine cattle are the result of cultivation by local breeders from Tegalsari District. The cow was handed over to the Great Mosque of Baiturrahman (MAB) Banyuwangi to be slaughtered and the meat distributed to the people who are entitled.

Regent Anas symbolically handed over the sacrificial cow to the Chairman of the MAB Foundation, Habib Mahdi Hasan, a few days ago. Anas says, Sacrifice is not only a religious ritual but also a manifestation of gratitude and solidarity with others.

"Sacrifice is part of our way of being grateful for the various blessings God has bestowed on Banyuwangi. Besides that, This is the way of Islam to maintain solidarity among people,"said Anas via the WhatsApp short message application yesterday (12/9).

Apart from MAB, this year Regent Anas also distributed sacrificial animals in several places. A number of places where the sacrificial meat is distributed, among others, Anas' hometown in Karangdoro Village, Tegalsari District; Islamic boarding school (Islamic boarding school) Ibn Sina, Rooftile, and several other places.

Anas hopes that Banyuwangi will always be blessed and facilitated in carrying out development programs amidst various obstacles and limitations. "We all pray and try so that all elements in Banyuwangi will be more synergistic in facing the many existing challenges so that development programs can run smoothly and be enjoyed by the community.," he said.
