KALIPURO – The shipping operator's agreement not to condition service users is starting to take its toll. The two ships that received operational sanctions were the Trans Java LCT 9 and LCT Pancar Indah. The two ships received operational sanctions by not being allowed to sail for seven days of service. The sanction is counted since 6 until 12 February 2014.
During those seven days, Trans Java LCT 9 and LCT Pancar Indah does not have a sailing schedule to serve users of the Ketapang-Gilimanuk crossing. The operational sanctions are stated in the letter from the Head of the Gilimanuk OPP Office No: HK.402/1/4/OPP.GM/2014 dated 5 January 2014. Operational sanctions were given because it was proven that they were conditioning prospective passengers by giving a fee to the truck driver. "The two ships were removed from the cruise schedule because they were proven to have violated the agreement","said the Head of Gilimanuk OPP, Kasman. Before the operational sanctions are issued, it turns out that the two LCT ships have committed violations.
On 30 January 2014 then, OPP issued a warning letter to the three cruise operators not to condition the ship's cargo as agreed.. The warning was issued because the three operators were still doing the conditioning even though there was an agreement. One of the three payment operators who received the OPP warning was PT. PMB.
Shortly after the OPP issued a warning, Tanjung Wangi Port Area Police officers carry out hand arrest operations (THERE) against perpetrators of passenger conditioning by giving fees to truck drivers. The OTT carried out by the police occurred in 3 February 2014. Based on the information from the perpetrator of the passenger conditioning to the police,, the drivers are conditioned to board the LCT Trans Java ship 9 and LCT Pancar Indah.
Based on the results of the OTT, OPP Gilimanuk immediately issued a stern action against the ship belonging to PT. that PMB, namely prohibiting operations for seven days.
