last MONTH, Concrong Dam area located in Dusun Krajan, The Village/District of Rogojampi suddenly became the new prima donna for residents in the District of Rogojampi, especially for those who live around the Dam area which used to be rundown and known to be haunted.
The Concrong Dam is located not far from the Rogojampi Village Office, i.e. approx. 700 meters to the east, or directions to Blimbingsari Airport. The dam is located right behind the Regional Drinking Water Company's office (PDAM) Rogojampi.
If crossing from the main road to the Blimbingsari airfield from the west, Concrong Dam can be seen clearly on the right. Because of its location which is right on the edge of the main road, the existence of the Concrong Dam is now starting to be visited by residents.
Residents come to the irrigation dam mostly with friends and family. They come to relax. Some just walk around, some also take a bath. Even, some also bring fishing gear, and choose to relax while sitting on the bank of the river to seek good luck if a fish eats the bait and gets stuck in the hook.
The atmosphere that evening was completely different compared to the previous year. Understood, In the past, the area around the dam was still very dirty and rundown. Even so it's not maintained, people who just want to visit are reluctant and lazy. Since six months ago, the area around the Concrong Dam is now starting to improve. Slow down, on the plengsengan dam began to be painted colorful. That's not all, the coordinating officer for water resources for the Rogojampi area also made arrangements along the riverbanks located around the dam.
To make it look neater and cleaner, officers also arranged the border area of the river with various types of flowers such as flower gardens. In the middle of the park are also given three gazebos, that visitors can use.
It doesn't end there, now the entrance to the dam area is also being constructed with paving. Practical, area that used to be dirty, seedy, and unkempt now it's starting to look neat, clean, and well organized. It is just, indeed there are still some spots on the south bank of the river which are still left natural.
The most fun spot for taking pictures for a number of visitors is the Love Bridge. The bridge made of bamboo is placed across the water flow. The colorfully painted bridge has a hibiscus shape in the middle made of iron strings, and at the edges decorated with plastic flower stalks. “Bridge of love is good, because it is right above the water flow,said Rohman, 22 other visitors.
The bridge is built rather high, because in the part of the water flow that flows on the north side of the dam is also used as a vehicle for water play. In addition to the children's bath, Flow irrigation dams are also made for playgrounds such as tubing and water bikes. Because of the shady atmosphere, combined with the sound of birds chirping and the sound of running water, it is not surprising that many residents are attracted to come. Residents hope, the development of the area around the Concrong Dam does not stop.
