Nephew of the deceased, Habib Abdurrahman bin Umar bin Syech Abu Bakar said, since 1952, Habib Alwi left Banyuwangi and migrated to the holy land of Makkah.
He went to Mecca with his brother Habib Husin bin Abu Bakar to study. “New year 1972 he returned to Banyuwangi and met his friends.
While in Banyuwangi, Habib Alwi was moved to help people who are lacking, especially education.
