House of Tolerance, Balinese Hindus Stopover in Banyuwangi

BANYUWANGI – The House of Tolerance founded by the Sad Jaya Abadi Foundation in Sembulung Village, Cluring District, Banyuwangi Regency inaugurated, Friday (23/2) at night 18.00 WIB.

This ceremonial activity was attended by Forpimka, Cluring District and all religious people, local village area. Also present was Gus Nuril Arifin Husein, the caretaker of the Abdurrahman Wahid Soko Tunggal Islamic Boarding School, Semarang, Central Java., Sri Guru Jaya Sakti Ashram is located in Ubud, and Maha Guru Sri Jaya Nara of the Bhayam Tabanan Valley Ashram, Bali.

Gus Nuril gave his appreciation to the Sad Jaya Abadi Foundation for building a house which he said could be used as a place to strengthen tolerance between religious communities and things related to nature..

“Hopefully in the future the house can be more useful for all people,” said Gus Nuril in his talk.

The inauguration of the house of tolerance was marked by the cutting of the cone by Sri Guru Jaya Sakti Ashram Muniwara and the reading of prayers.

Meanwhile, Sodi, the chairman of the house of tolerance, explained that this place was built with the ambition of participating in creating a prosperous and happy society.

“This house is expected to be a place and facilitate a harmonious relationship with the three causes of happiness, namely God, nature and man,” bright Sodi, after the event.

According to Sodi, the original plan of this place being built as a stopover for brothers – brother from Bali who wants to travel to his ancestral land on the island of Java.

However, along with the development of time and seeing the importance of developing tolerance between religious communities in Indonesia, The Sad Jaya Abadi Foundation has expanded the function of this place so that it can also accommodate activities – inter-religious activities.

“We hope that this place can become a place for holding celebrations, seminars or discussions on matters that strengthen tolerance,” he explained.

In conjunction with nature Sodi says, the planned tolerance house can be a place to do activities – activities for nature conservation such as sharing information about gardening and organic farming, good waste management to produce natural fertilizer or compost and others – another.

“Forward, This house can also be used for these activities,” clear Sodi.

Sodi added, in the house of tolerance there is 5 building. The first building is a pavilion, serves as a meeting place, the second building is a residence or lodge.

This third building consists of a secretariat room, common kitchen dining room as well as a place for discussion, the fourth building is the male and female dormitories and the fifth building is an open building that functions as a multipurpose area. “Anyone can stop by here,” concluded the head of the house manager.
