ID TEXT – Kite crash, the house of a resident of the Village/District of Siliragung, Banyuwangi, East Java, must burn. Even though there were no fatalities, but the loss was estimated at Rp. 100 million.
Siliragung Police Chief, AKP Mujiono said the reason fire this started from the hobby of the home owner who likes to make kites.
The plastic material used in the kite, become a source of fire that then spreads.
“It happened last night when the owner of the house was making kites,” Mujiono said, Tuesday (30/5/2023).
According to Mujiono, on the night of the incident around 22:00 WIB, Meda Ria Kuswari (39) is making kites. For attaching plastic, the owner of the house used to use mosquito coils.

At that time, accidentally the mosquito coil had fallen into the bed, but was immediately killed by Meda Ria Kuswari.
“Use mosquito coils to attach the plastic kite. Had hit the bed, but immediately addressed,” he said.
When finished with the kite, Meda Ria Kuswari went to sleep. Disaster ensued afterwards, unexpectedly, the embers of the mosquito coils that had hit the mattress had not completely died.
Slowly the embers grew and caused a fire that continued to grow.
Around dawn, the owner of the house woke up and saw a lot of smoke in his house. He also saw a fire that had enlarged and had even spread to the wooden material on the roof of the house.
“around 04:00 WIB, the owner of the house woke up and saw that the fire was already big. Then asked for help and residents came to put out the fire,” clear.
