Lanal Banyuwangi monitors the homecoming flow from the air, Monday, 8 April 2024. Monitoring was carried out together with Forkopimda Banyuwangi and Basarnas. This air patrol was carried out to ensure that the homecoming flow at the Ketapang-Gilimanuk crossing was smooth and safe.
This air patrol was carried out by Commander Lanal Banyuwangi, Marine Lieutenant Colonel (P) Hafiz, Banyuwangi Deputy Chief of Police, AKBP Dewa Putu Eka Darmawan, representatives from Basarnas fan Kodim. Air patrols use Basarnas Dauphin AS365N3+/HR-3603 Helicopters.
“This air patrol is in order to monitor the situation and conditions of the Eid homecoming flow 1445 H/2024 around Ketapang and Gilimanuk Ports,” clear.
Helicopter take off from the Bulusan pier parking area, Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi. The helicopter then checked the situation at Ketapang Harbor from the air. The helicopter then patrolled the Bali Strait and the area around Gilimanuk Harbor.
“The results of air monitoring on the second day of Eid al-Fitr showed no traffic density,” explained Hafidz.
On H-2, the homecoming flow from Bali to Java and vice versa was observed to be smooth. Nevertheless, Hafidz appealed to travelers to remain careful during the journey. Safety must be a top priority.
“Travelers are advised to be careful while traveling,” he said.
During the homecoming moment, Lanal Banyuwangi deployed two patrol boats, namely KAL Sembulungan II-5-42. This ship carries out patrols in the Mayangan Probolinggo waters. Next, we will alert KAL Rajegwesi II-5-40 in the Bali Strait area assisted by RHIB and RBB elements.
“To secure the homecoming flow, anticipate things that we don't want,” said Hafidz.
