BANYUWANGI – Persewangi FC management's ambition is to make the club survive in the Liga 2 began to be realized by the club nicknamed Laskar Blambangan with the addition of players. Yesterday (12/10) official management signed six players to strengthen the team during the play-offs of the League 2 that started 9 next October.

Four of the six players were taken from Persija Jakarta. They are M. Rohim Afandi, M. Apostle, Evraim Toncy Awes, and Aed Tri Oka. While the other two players, Ghofur and Miftah, taken from PSBI Blitar.

“We are serious about qualifying for the play-offs and staying in the league 2. Because of that, we put in some players the team needs. Yesterday we went to Jakarta to meet the management team. So there are four players from there who will strengthen our team later,” said Persewangi FC manager Hari Wijaya.

Day added, Persewangi FC is in need of players to fill their needs. Especially, there are some players who left after the last match of the Group stage 6 League 2 against peach 9 last September.

So that the players were deliberately contracted by management so that they could immediately train with the team and could be fielded in the early play-off match against PSCS Cilacap at the Kanjuruhan stadium, Malang., 9 next October.

“There are some players leaving. It's also Adu that we didn't extend the contract because from the start we couldn't contribute to the team. Among them are the two Papuan players Alexander Karabo and Anis that we released. Then Fred, which is close to Central Kalimantan Putra,” added Hari.

The players who are new to Persewangi's contract themselves all fill the positions needed by the team. Starting from the defender, wing, up to striker. With the addition of this player, Hari hopes to keep Persewangi in the league 2.

Because in the play-off game later, Persewangi have to face quite strong teams and all of them have ambitions to stay in the League 2. “Some have come and joined the exercises with the children. We hope to be able to unite soon. So you can perform optimally in the early match against PSCS later. We meet the quota,” he concluded.
