motherBANYUWANGI – Turtle conservation efforts carried out by the Banyuwangi Turtle Foundation aka Banyuwangi Sea Turtle Foundation (BSTF) continues to receive support. This time, support came from the ranks of the Banyuwangi Police and Bhayangkari Banyuwangi. Apart from adopting turtle eggs, the police ranks led directly by the Banyuwangi Police Chief, AKBP Tri Bisono Soemiharso and Chairman Bhayangkari Mrs. Tri Bisono Soemiharso releases turtles in the Boom Beach area, Banyuwangi yesterday afternoon (6/7).

Not only that, Police children were also involved in the turtle release activity. Police Chief Tri Bisono Soemiharso said, Turtle conservation efforts are a form of public concern for the preservation of these animals. “We are obliged to support turtle conservation carried out by Banyuwangi volunteers," he said. The police chief added, His party tries to support and take part in turtle conservation efforts.  

"Bhayangkari as a community organization must also care about the preservation of turtles, which are protected wild animals," he said. More to be said, Children were also involved in the turtle release activity yesterday. This step was taken as a form of education from an early age so that children love turtles. "As we have seen, (at the turtle release location) there are children aged five years to ten years. This is part of education from an early age so that they love turtles,” he said.

Meanwhile, Support for turtle conservation efforts also comes from educators and prospective priests. As much 12 prospective Catholic priest from Malang Major Seminary who is currently undergoing Real Work Lectures (KKN) in Bumi Blambangan took part in yesterday's turtle release activity. Not only that, head of PAUD and SD Tunas Olives Banyuwangi, Melanie also took part in releasing turtles into the sea. (radar)
