Bimo BEACH is located in Krajan Hamlet, Desima Bimorejo, Wongsorejo District. The Jawa Pos Radar Banyuwangi expedition team in collaboration with Toyota Auto2000 has finally arrived at this beach. It's not difficult to get to Bimo Beach.

Because there are many roads to get to Bimo Beach. What we know, there are three paths to get to Bimo Beach. The first path to get to Bimo Beach can be passed through Bajulmati Village. Precisely beside the mosque on the border of Situbondo and Banyuwangi regencies, there is a road to the east.

Nah, we can cross that path. With that path, to get to the beach we have to travel again as far as approx 4 km. For the second line, can be passed through Sidodadi Village. Precisely to the south of Galekan Market there is an entrance to the east as far as approximately 6 km to get to Bimo Beach.

The third route to Bimo Beach can also be passed through Sumberkencono Village. From this village the distance to Bimo beach is further than other routes, i.e. approx. 10 km to get to Bimo Beach. Because we are going to Bimo Beach moving from the north, so we chose to go to Bimo Beach from the first route.

Namely from the entrance to the east which is next to the mosque on the Situbondo-Banyuwangi border by using a Toyota New Fortuner.. During the trip to Bimo Beach, we passed the villages of the citizens.

We also passed a large river that is commonly used by the local community for bathing and so on. Even, The river water is also used by local residents as a source of agricultural water for local residents. Even though it's on the coast, it seems that many Bimorejo people also work as farmers.

The agricultural land there is very wide. There is an onion farm, corn, padi, chili and so on. But judging from the plants that are on the residents' agricultural land, Onion plants dominate more than other crops.

Around 1 km from Bimo Beach, we also found a lot of ponds lined up near the beach. It seems like, These ponds are shrimp ponds. Road as far as 4 km we have passed, Finally we arrived at Bimo Beach which was our goal.

Bimo Beach is not as exotic as Kelor Beach. From a visual point of view, This beach is almost the same as Pandean Beach in Wonorejo Village, Situbondo. The beach sand is all black, The texture of the sand is also quite smooth. Coconut trees also seem to stand proudly on the edge of Bimo Beach.

The waves that go to the beach are also not too high. We think this beach is suitable for people to spend the afternoon. "If the main holiday is in the afternoon, many people go to the beach to play.

The sea is light blue when the weather is good, "said Sutriano", 57, local people. Sutrisno says, Most of the residents around Bimo Beach work as fishermen. This can be seen by the number of fishing boats that are docked.

Because coincidentally when we went there the wind was strong so the fishing boats didn't go to sea. "This wind is strong again, so the boat is parked by fishermen. Besides fishermen, there are also many people who farm in Bimorejo Village,” he added.

There is also a Fish Auction Place on Bimo Beach (TPI) standing on the beach. It's not big in size. TPI building area is only about 5×5 meter. Even though it's small, the presence of this TPI shows that at Bimo Beach there are indeed fish buying and selling transactions every day.

"Because there are no fish anymore so there are no transactions at this time, If you're harvesting fish, there's a lot of TPI. There are various kinds of fish with tuna, lemuru, and so on,"explained Sutrisno. sadly, The potentials that exist on Bimo Beach are not accompanied by public awareness to participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the beach.

Around the beach, the view of garbage piling up dominates. Even the sand on Bimo Beach is almost completely covered with garbage. Hearing the comments from Sutrisno earlier who said that Bimo Beach was visited by many residents on holidays and afternoons, it would be better if the cleanliness of the beach was more maintained.

So that the beach looks more clean and tidy. We believe in even cleaner beaches, people who visit can spend more time at Bimo Beach. With so many people visiting Bimo Beach, it can later be used as an alternative for local residents to earn rupiah in terms of tourism.

That's it, you can make additional income for local residents when there is a fish famine like today. (radar)
