BANYUWANGI, KOMPAS.com – The SAR team decided to stop searching for Cahyo Murdoko (23), young man from Trenggalek who plunged into the sea in Bali strait. The search was stopped because there had been no progress for a week.
“The decision for the 7th day of SAR operations is closed,” said the Basarnas Post Coordinator Banyuwangi, Wahyu Setya Budi, to Kompas.com, Tuesday (28/3/2023).
According to Revelation, the search was terminated with zero results. Even, there were no signs pointing to the whereabouts of the victim.
“We are coordinating with the victim's family and potential SAR, then the SAR operation is proposed to be stopped,” said Wahyu.

At the moment, he said, All SAR elements or teams involved in the search have returned to their respective units.
Elements involved in the search include Basarnas, Lanal, Polairud, BPBD, KSOP, BPTD Ketapang, ASDP Ketapang, Kalipuro Police, Police Station KP3 Tanjungwangi, RAPI Team, and local fishermen.
“But when signs of sacrifice are found, then SAR operations will be reopened,” Wahyu toilet.
