BANYUWANGI, Jurnalnews – Joint officers from Polhutmob and Police succeeded in carrying out a very important rescue action by securing a pile of teak wood which was suspected to be the result of illegal logging..

This incident occurred in the South Banyuwangi KPH Perhutani forest area, precisely in Bangorejo district, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java on Tuesday 12 September 2023.

Tacuk Budiono, Acting Squad Commander (Danru) Polhutmob KPH South Banyuwangi, immediately respond to information from the public about the existence of teak wood which is suspected to be the result of illegal logging. Together with the Bangorejo Police Chief and other members, they went straight to the scene.

“Information regarding suspected illegal teak wood, We and our colleagues from the Bangorejo Police immediately went to the location we had previously identified," he said. Tuesday (12/09/2023).

It adds up,"Based on information we received from the public, In an empty yard behind a resident's house there is a pile of teak wood and a teak sawmill. Located in Selorejo Hamlet, Rt 03, Rw 01, Temurejo Village, Bangorejo District," he said.

After that, inspection carried out by officers, The pile of teak wood found contained several types of teak, namely Glondongan and processed teak wood.

Strictly speaking, Evidence of Glondongan and processed teak wood has been secured at the Wood Storage Place (TPK) Grajagan Slang, which is located in Purwoharjo District, Banyuwangi Regency.
