So that students crossing and other drivers who want to turn can move calmly. If anyone dares to be disorderly, these children immediately rebuked him.

The whistle was blown loudly while waving his hands in front of the stubborn driver.

“Sometimes people don't want to listen, but it still has to be arranged so that it is neat. Patience training, said slowly," said Alfi Karisma, a member of the School Security Patrol (PKS) who regulates traffic.

The children wearing green vests with traffic control equipment are members of the School Security Patrol (PKS) from MTs Nahdlatul Wathon. They are tasked with directing traffic in front of their school every morning and afternoon.

Not only managing school children from kindergarten to Aliyah age who happen to pass by, These children also organize residents who pass through this busy route.

The reason for establishing PKS was because the school saw that the area in front of the school was quite prone to accidents. And it is hoped that PKS's task will be to minimize the risks that could befall Kindergarten to Aliyah students who cross, as well as local residents who will be doing activities.

"The school then asked the Licin Police for help in establishing PKS. Originally, only exist 20 students who want. Then we send them for selection. Until finally there is nothing left 17 PKS members until now,he said.

The students received training related to traffic management from the Sector Police. “The results did not disappoint. From the beginning until today there have been no accidents and the flow is smooth. Only the first time many people turned back, thought to be a police stop, the story.

Apart from reducing the frequency of accidents, Ediy said that many local residents have finally become more obedient in using riding equipment such as helmets. Even, MTs and Aliyah students who previously rarely used helmets, Now I never take off the safety equipment when driving.

"Initially, discipline emerged from PKS member students, then spread to other students. Especially, After that, many students wanted to become PKS members," said Ediy while smiling.

He hopes that PKS can be consistent. Apart from planning to continue carrying out cadre formation, He hopes that with the existence of PKS, awareness of safe driving can continue to be cultivated in schools.

"The police also said that after there was PKS, driving awareness is increasing. That means there are benefits," he said.

Muklis Maulana Sobri, one of the PKS student members explained, almost all of its members were embarrassed when they first served. Especially those arranged by adults.

"The most annoying thing is when there are people who don't want to be regulated, been reprimanded with a whistle but didn't listen, said the chubby student.

For division of tasks, every day there are three people on duty. In the morning they have to be ready to start at 06.15. Meanwhile, during the day at 13.00.

“The officers must arrive earlier than other students. Continue arranging barrels and preparing equipment. When we get home from school we also go home last. After all the school students have gone home, we will go home, said the student from Jambu Hamlet, Tamansari Village.
