TWO Dwarapala statues in front of the Antogan tourist site still look strong and dashing guarding the entrance to tourist attractions in Bunder Village, District of Kabat. However, as he stepped closer to the entrance, sluggish mood immediately visible.
There was no activity whatsoever at the entrance to Antogan. There are only parking attendants who don't talk too much but always smile who sit all day under the Dwarapala statue. The curly-haired man looked so loyal waiting for people to come, even though it's not much.
Java Pos Radar Banyuwangi has visited Antogan twice in the year 2016. The first was in mid-January and the second was in June which coincided with the month of Ramadan. Nothing was different the two times during that visit.
What can be seen is that Antogan's mood is even more lethargic. When you go deeper, looks row stalls no man's still standing. JP-RaBa continued to go deeper over the bridge. While continuing down the road, looking right and left the road looks more like a moor than a tourist spot.

However, not too long ago turn right, there is one firewood seeker who seems to live not far from Antogan. The grandfather named Marsupin said he lived near Antogan. Not infrequently on holidays he sells around the river.
The short man said that Antogan had been lonely like this for a long time. Even, on Saturday-Sunday there are no tourists visiting. According to him, there are only young people who are dating. Or small children who deliberately play with their friends.
Almost no more families have recreation in the location which is believed to be the place of Rempeg Jogopati's hermitage. "Most young people are dating who come. Here there is nothing to disturb, so they are comfortable. If not, yes there are people from out of town. But they came to the hermitage on the stairs up there,Marsupin said.
The man who sometimes accompanies his wife selling meatballs when many people visit Antogan doesn't know how long the tourist spots will be quiet. But, Masrupin said he wanted the place to be crowded again. So that he doesn't have to bother looking for firewood and planting cassava for food.
"He said he wanted to build, but don't know when. even though, this place is not ticketed but yes still quiet,complained Marsupin. (radar)
