BANYUWANGI – Ministry of Religion Office ( Ministry of Religion) Banyuwangi has received proposals for registration of prospective Hajj pilgrims (CJH) elderly (elderly) who will be prioritized to leave during this year's Hajj season. Head of the Hajj and Umrah Section of the Banyuwangi Ministry of Religion, H. Mukhlis said, This year's CJH Banyuwangi quota amounts to 921 person.
Since 1 February 2017 then, The Ministry of Banyuwangi received an additional Hajj quota of 299 person. So the total number of CJHs who will depart this year is as many as 1220 person. However, continued Mukhlis, The additional quota is not all prioritized for elderly CJH.
The additional kuta is given to the congregation according to the order of registration. Especially for the elderly, still refers to the previous year's habits, namely by proposing a Regional Office (regional office) Ministry of Religion of East Java Province. "So, if later during the first phase of repayment period from the province, many prospective pilgrims will not pay off, then automatically the quota will be divided among each region to prioritize the elderly people proposed from each region," he said.

The file data will then be verified and proposed to the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of East Java Province. “The one who determines the quota amount is the Regional Office, after entering the Regional Office's approval list, then we will call the new CJH to immediately make payment," he explained.
One of the conditions or criteria for submitting the registration file for the elderly person's proposal, is for elderly CJH who are over the age of 75 year, and have been enrolled for more than two years. "We have now prepared this data, and if there are new changes to the rules, they will be immediately adjusted,he explained.
With the additional CJH quota, The Banyuwangi Ministry of Religion still cannot confirm, how much is the reduction in the CJH departure schedule in Banyuwangi.
