GENTENG-The world of education in Banyuwangi Regency is making history. Jonathan Christian Nitisastro, 14, one of Aletheia Christian Middle School students, Rooftile, succeeded in making Indonesia proud in the 7th World Mathematic Team Championship which took place from Wednesday to Sunday (23-27/11) in Incheon, South Korea.

In this prestigious event, Jonathan and a team consisting of six students from several leading schools in Jakarta, Semarang, and Surabaya managed to win gold. Currently in the individual category, class IX student at Aletheia Genteng Middle School, it got silver.

Before getting gold, Jonathan and the team in the intermediate division have to compete with 637 consisting of participants 75 team that comes from 20 countries starting from America, countries in Europe, and a number of countries in Asia.

Jonathan is leaving for the world level Mathematics Olympiad arena on Tuesday (22/11) that, yesterday (30/11) arrived at school at Aletheia Genteng Middle School accompanied by his parents, Sianggoro, 45, and Yenny Cristanto, 45. His arrival was greeted like a hero by the school administrators, teachers council, and the students.
