Visitors to themed music concerts “Dangdut Never Dies (DND)” at the Diponegoro Stadium.

BANYUWANGI – Thousands of dangdut music lovers poured into the west field of Banyuwangi's Diponegoro Stadium, Last Saturday night (14/ 10). Themed music concerts “Dangdut Never Dies (DND)” it successfully hit the stage. The free music concert starts at 19.00 until 23.30.

The opening began with a performance from Banyuwangi singer Mahesa who successfully made the audience sway. Then the MC called the singer with the flagship song Cabe-Cabean, Imey Mey and successfully hypnotized the audience with seven songs.

The atmosphere became even more excited when the MC called dangdut artist Cita Citata. Through the song Goyang Dumang, Cita is able to make the audience sway too. The tiny dangdut artist's swaying made the stage shake even more. Cita Citata performed eight of her favorite songs last Saturday night (14/10). “If you're not wet, you can't go home, spectators,” said Cita while swaying.

The audience, who looked impatient to watch their idol band, continued to shout Wali's name. A few moments later guitarist Wali Apoy appeared with a guitar and invited the entire audience to pray. Next, it was the turn of vocalist Wali Fa'ank to hit the stage with his distinctive voice and accompanied by music played by all the Wali band members..

The Guardian was very impressed with the enthusiasm of the spectators who attended the Diponegoro stadium. Even though it was pouring with heavy rain, The audience still followed the lyrics sung by one of the Indonesian Malay bands.

The music concert audience, which was dominated by teenagers, was very satisfied with the concert event which presented the country's top dangdut singers. “It's really nice to be able to watch Wali and other dangdut singers. Moreover, the event is free, which makes it even more enjoyable,” said Risa, 20, audience from Genteng.

Event organizer PT Karyadibya Mahardika (KDM) melalui manager event organizer (EO) Arjuna Production Jember Mochamad Fathur Rahman admitted that he was relieved that the concert was a success. Fathur also expressed his thanks to the talents of national artists such as Wali Band, Cita Citata, Imay May, as well as local artists such as Mahesa, Reni Farida, and also Monata Crew's musical accompaniment.

“We want to entertain the people of Banyuwangi by providing free entertainment. Apart from that, it introduces all regions that the city of Banyuwangi is a conducive tourist city,” said Fathur.(radar)
