CLURING – At the end of the month of Suro, hundreds of villagers Tampo, Cluring District, holding a village alms ritual with a grand tumpeng carnival. The tumpeng agung carnival is a tradition carried out by the people of Tampo Village, it is a form of gratitude for the blessings bestowed by God in the form of abundant produce of the earth and agricultural produce in the last year. That giant sized cone, made by residents in mutual cooperation.
The produce that is placed on the cone with a height of two meters is the result of agriculture and agriculture, starting with fruit, like oranges, Dragon fruit, crystal guava, long beans, vegetables, cucumber, tomatoes, eggplant, lombok, corn, carrot, and various other agricultural products.
It's not just a cone filled with fruit and agricultural products. In that tradition there is also a jumbo-sized yellow rice cone. The tumpeng is decorated with various kinds of side dishes, start with chicken, baby, catfish, tempe, know, egg, and various other types of side dishes.
The three jumbo cones were carved out from the Tampo Village Office, Cluring District to the Tampo Village field which is approx 600 meter. Residents from various hamlets, village, and sub-districts in Banyuwangi Regency welcomed the arrival of the great cone in the middle of the field.
