Two People Reported Missing While Fishing at Sukamade Beach

Two people were reported missing while fishing on Sukamade Beach. The search involving joint officers and residents is still ongoing.

The two people who were reported missing were Dani Sulistiawan, 39, residents of Tegalsari District and Rudi Listiono, 24, residents of Dusun Krajan, Sarongan Village, Pesangaran District, Banyuwangi Regency.

On Saturday (5 March 2022), the two victims rode a Honda Win motorcycle with license plate number P 3577 QAK from Siliragung Village to Sukomade Hamlet, Sarongan Village.

Arriving at Sukomade Beach, the two victims immediately fished around 14.00 WIB that day.

Head of Sukomade Hamlet, Very Navarro, 47, said the two victims had met at his relative's house in Sukomade Hamlet. And around o'clock 21.00 WIB, The victim hasn't returned to his house yet.

“We are working with residents to immediately conduct searches on beaches where people usually fish,” kata Very, Sunday 6 March 2022.

When Veri and the citizens were looking on the beach, The two victims were not found. All they found was the victim's motorbike parked on the beach.

The search resumed at around 23.00 until 01.00 WIB. On Sunday morning, search continues. Because it hasn't been found yet, Very finally made a report to the Pesanggaran Police.

Meanwhile, The Head of Pesanggaran Police, AKP Subandi, admitted that he had received the missing persons report.

“It's true that there are reports of missing people on Sukamade Beach. Search is still ongoing,” said the Head of Pesanggaran Police, AKP Subandi.
