Support MSMEs to move up to class in Banyuwangi, PLN Installs Free Electricity for Dozens of Micro Business Actors

ID TEXT – The spirit of collaboration continues to grow in the Regency Banyuwangi. This time PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Banyuwangi provided assistance in the form of installation free electricity for dozens of MSME players to support their businesses.

Manager of PT PLN UP3 Banyuwangi, And Santoso, said this program is synergistic with the MSME Upgrade program run by the Banyuwangi Regency Government.

"As is done by the Regency Government, We also want to help MSMEs so that their businesses can grow, which ultimately has an impact on their welfare,said Agus.

At least there 40 MSME booth in the Taman Sritanjung area which has benefited from the Electrifying Micro Business program from PLN. Previously, These MSME stands do not have independent electricity connections. But it only uses one electrical connection that is used together.

“Electricity is really needed to support the smooth running of their business. For example, making juice, Cook rice, and many others. With this help, We hope their business can continue to grow,"said Agus.

PLN also provided assistance with induction stoves to dozens of small traders to support their businesses. This assistance is also in the context of campaigning for the use of clean energy. This is in accordance with government programs that reduce carbon emissions and switch to clean energy, through the Liquefied Petroleum Gas stove conversion program (LPG) 3kg to the induction cooker.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Banyuwangi, Ipuk Fiestiandani, really appreciated the program from PLN. "Thank you for PLN's support to MSMEs in Banyuwangi. Hopefully this well-established synergy and collaboration can continue to be maintained, even upgraded," said Ipuk.

According to Ipuk, This program further complements the pro MSME programs in Banyuwangi. One of them, the Warung Naik Class program which provides assistance in the form of funds and business equipment to MSMEs.

"This is an economic stimulus program for micro business actors that we have been implementing since 2021. To date, the Stall Up Class program has been touched 1.174 stall in Banyuwangi," said Ipuk.

Banyuwangi also launched free shipping costs for MSMEs, which this year are targeted 500 UMKM. Along with that, Facilitation for the administration of Business Identification Numbers is also opened (NIB) and Home Industry Food certification (PIRT) to MSME actors.
